Stumbled on this great posting and the comments are worth a read.
I have personal experience with many of these issues, trying to hire qualified staff.
I am clearly biased towards FOSS and FOSS people, but this comes from history and my own personal experiences when trying to build teams and hire staff.
Alas, the decision to hire .NET or .NOT seems to be working itself out…
